SQUASH INGREDIENTS
1 Acorn Squash, Cut in Half and Seeds Removed to Form a Bowl
1 Apple Peeled and Cut into Bite Sized Pieces
2 Tablespoons Grass-fed Butter Melted
¼ Teaspoon Monk Fruit Sweetener
½ Teaspoon Himalayan Salt
2 Slices of Bacon Cooked and Crumbled
CANDIED WALNUT INGREDIENTS
1/2 Cup Walnut Pieces Roasted
1 Tablespoon Grass-fed Butter
½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
½ Tablespoon Monk Fruit Sweetener
½ Teaspoon Cinnamon
ASSEMBLY
- In a medium sized mixing bowl combine the apples, melted butter, monk fruit sweetener, and salt.
- Add apple mixture into both squash bowls, and add to a medium sized baking dish.
- Bake at 400° Fahrenheit for 40 minutes.
- While the squash is baking make the candied walnuts.
- In a medium sized sauce pan melt butter, and add vanilla, monk fruit, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- Add walnuts and continuously mix until coated and the sauce has been fully absorbed.
- Top squash with candied walnuts and bacon.
- Bake for an additional 5 minutes and serve.
