GIZMO INGREDIENTS
1LB Ground Beef
1LB Ground Sausage
1 Onion Diced .5 Green Bell Pepper Diced .5 Teaspoon Fennel
1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
15oz Tomato Sauce
Salt to Taste
POPOVER INGREDIENTS
5 Tablespoons Arrowroot
3 Tablespoons Cassava Flour
.5 Teaspoon Himalayan Sea Salt
4 Large Eggs, Room Temp
.5 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
2 Teaspoons Italian Seasoning
.5 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
GIZMO ASSEMBLY
- In a large sauté pan brown ground beef and sausage. Drain fat.
- Add onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add tomato sauce, fennel, pepper and garlic. Mix well. Salt to taste.
POPOVER ASSEMBLY - In a medium sized mixing bowl combine the arrowroot, cassava, Italian, garlic and salt.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl whisk together the eggs and heavy cream.
- Whisk together the flour mixture into the egg bowl.
- Whisk until completely smooth and no lumps.
- Place 1/4 cup of the mixture into each popover cup.
- Bake at 450°F for 15 Minutes.
Turn oven down to 350°F and bake for an additional 20 minutes. Or until golden brown. - Do not open the oven until they are complete.
- Cut popovers in a half and place spoonfuls of meat into each.
